The Evanston Community Development Corporation is sponsoring free computer training classes this summer at the Boocoo Cultural Center.

The classes are designed for adults with little or no experience with computers.

One class will introduce participants to Microsoft Word and will focus on becoming comfortable with computers and basic computer skills used to create letters, lists, newsletters, and other documents as well as setting up a free email account.

The other class will explore the presentation program PowerPoint. Participants will put together presentations that look professional and can be shared with family and friends.

Both four-week classes will also allow time for questions and practice and meet from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

The Microsoft Word class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays starting July 6.

The PowerPoint class meets on Thursdays starting July 9.

Boocoo is located at 1823 Church St.
