The Evanston Community Development Corporation and Oakton Community College are sponsoring free classes to prepare for the general education development test that qualifies students for a high school equivalency certificate.

The program begins with a placement test at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 15.

The program begins with a placement test at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 15.

After that, classes will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on Fridays from Jan. 22 through June 25.

The sessions will be held at Boocoo, 1823 Church St. in Evanston. Call Precious Wright at 847-756-0159 to register.
