Free cold lunches will be served to all children age 1 to 18 again this summer on a first-come, first-served basis.
Lunches will be served Monday through Friday, June 13 to Aug. 19, except for July 4.
This year, a fourth site at James Park has been added.
Lunch sites are Mason Park, Church Street at Florence Avenue; James Park, at the fieldhouse west of the Levy Center at 300 Dodge Ave., and the parks adjacent to Fleetwood-Jourdain Center, 1655 Foster St., and Robert Crown Center, 1701 Main St.
Lunches must be eaten on site and parents must accompany young children. Lunches are served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fleetwood-Jourdain and Mason Park, while lunches are served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Robert Crown and James Parks.
The summer food service program is coordinated by the City of Evanston’s Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center and funded by a grant from the Illinois State Board of Education.
In accordance with federal law and United States Department of Agriculture policy, this program is available to all eligible children without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.
