The Active Transportation Alliance and the City of Evanston are among the sponsors of a promotion designed to encourage residents to get along without their cars on Wednesday.
There’ll be a promotion at the 909 Davis St. building from 6 to 9 a.m. including a rally at 8 o’clock.
The rally features a raffle drawing for a grand prize of a bike from Turin Bicycle Shop and a bunch of other goodies including Metra and CTA passes.
The promotion is also designed to encourages residents to take the car-free pledge online that entitles those who sign up to discounts from several local businesses.
