Witnesses reported seeing a group of young boys pull a set of golf clubs from an unlocked 2012 Toyota in the 2400 block of Hastings Avenue and toss them in a dumpster between 9 p.m. and 9:06 p.m. Saturday. The clubs were recovered and the vehicle was undamaged, police said.
Medical equipment was taken from an unlocked 2012 Lincoln in the driveway of a home in the 1000 block of Oakton Street between 12:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

A purse, a laptop computer, hardware, and hygiene products were stolen from a home in the 2100 block of Maple Avenue between 8:15 p.m. Saturday and 3 a.m. yesterday.
Johnny D. Walker, 58, of 255 W. 112th Place, Chicago, was arrested at 1711 Sherman Ave. at 5:20 p.m. yesterday and charged with battery. He is due in court on Oct. 9 at 9 a.m.
Graffiti was discovered on a mailbox in the 700 block of Dodge Avenue at 12:05 p.m. Friday.
Graffiti was discovered at Bent Park in the 3200 block of Central Street at 9:54 p.m. Saturday.

Main at Ridge
Iyabo Esther Falana, 35, of 6414 N. Ridge Blvd., Chicago, was arrested at Main Street and Ridge Avenue at 8:53 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Sept. 27 at 10:30 a.m.
An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
