Governor Pat Quinn is among the politicians scheduled to speak at Sunday’s Democratic Party of Evanston annual membership meeting.

Other speakers at the event, scheduled for 4 to 6 p.m. at Beth Emet Synagogue, 1224 Dempster St., include U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky, State Sen. Jeff Schoenberg, State Rep. Robyn Gabel, County Commissioner Larry Suffredin and Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Commissioner Debra Shore.

A variety of Democratic candidates in November’s election are also expected, including Alexi Giannoulias, running for the U.S. Senate; David Miller, running for state comptroller, and Toni Preckwinkle, who’s seeking the presidency of the Cook County Board.

Democratic Party of Evanston membership is not required for admission, but DPOE Executive Director Toni Gilpin says it’s strongly encouraged. Dues are $25 for individuals. More information is available online.
