Spray-painted graffiti was discovered at three city parks. These among stories in Friday’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

GRAFFITI
1100 Lake Shore
Graffiti was discovered spray-painted at a park in the 1100 block of Lake Shore Boulevard at 1:12 p.m. Thursday.

1400 Sheridan
Graffiti was discovered spray-painted at a park in the 1400 block of Sheridan Road at 1:56 p.m. Thursday.

1800 Main
Graffiti was discovered spray-painted at a park in the 1800 block of Main Street at 9:42 a.m. Thursday.

THEFT
2400 Main
Clothing was stolen from Marshalls Department Store in the 2400 block of Main Street between 5:16 p.m. Sunday and 2:07 p.m. Thursday.

1900 Dempster
Nearly $500 in cash was taken from the Dollar Tree store in the 1900 block of Dempster Street between 4:45 p.m. Tuesday and 1 p.m. Thursday.

TRAFFIC
1323 Dodge
Sophie B. Elwes, 52, of 2146 Asbury Ave., was arrested at 1323 Dodge Ave. at 1:11 p.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation.

1001 Emerson
Charles H. McKinley, 32, of 2122 Emerson St., was arrested at 1001 Emerson St. at 5:17 p.m. Tuesday and charged with a traffic violation.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute an assumption of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place at Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
