Going on until 8 this evening is a grand opening celebration for the new Edward Jones brokerage office at 1131 Emerson St. run by Cynthia Early.

Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl was on hand to cut the ribbon at 5 p.m. Early says folks who turn out for snacks at the event are being asked to make a $5 charitable contribution to the Lilac Tree, a resource center for women contemplating divorce, which is located in the same Emerson Street building.
