Some eight granite boulders were reported stolen from the yard of a home in the 2700 block of Bennett Avenue. This among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.


2700 Bennett

Eight granite boulders and miscellaneous merchandise were reported stolen from the yard of a home in the 2700 block of Bennett Avenue between 10 p.m. Wednesday and noon yesterday.

2400 Howard

Hygeine products were taken from a grocery store in the 2400 block of Howard Street between 1:41 a.m. and 2:01 a.m. today.

1600 Chicago

A bicycle secured to a bike rack was stolen in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue between midnight and 7 a.m. yesterday.

Shots Heard

1700 Howard

Gunshots were reported in the 1700 block of Howard Street at 3:15 a.m. today. Police checked the area but found nothing.

An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
