A guitar and  case were stolen from a Northwestern University student’s 2012 Mercedes in the 1600 block of Ridge Avenue. This among stories in Friday’s crime bulletin from Evanston police.

BURGLARY
1600 Ridge
A burglar gained entry to an unlocked 2012 Mercedes belonging to a 21-year-old female Northwestern University student in the 1600 block of Ridge Avenue between 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. Thursday. Missing was a guitar and case.

BATTERY
609 Elmwood
Kerry Rahmone Vassell, 22, of 1075 Ridge Drive, DeKalb, was arrested at 609 Elmwood Ave. at 11:06 a.m. on May 27 and charged with domestic battery.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
400 Ridge
A window was broken on a 2015 Nissan in the 400 block of Ridge Avenue around 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

THEFT
900 Davis
A Trek bicycle was stolen from a bike rack in the 900 block of Davis Street between 3 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. Saturday.

13400 Kedzie
Vincent Smith, 34, of 2413 S. Canal St., Blue Island, was arrested at 13400 S. Kedzie Ave., Chicago, at 12:50 p.m. on May 25 and charged with theft.

2200 Oakton
Wiring was stolen from the Home Depot store in the 2200 block of Oakton Street around 3 p.m. Thursday.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
