Police investigated a gunfire report in the 800 block of Custer Avenue, and graffiti showed up in the 700 block of Church Street. These among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Shots Heard

800 Custer

Gunshots were reported in the 800 block of Custer Avenue at 8:40 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Graffiti

700 Church

Graffiti was discovered in the 700 block of Church Street at 3:22 p.m. yesterday.

Traffic

1500 Ridge

Lanesha M. Grier, 36, of 1417 Hinman Ave., was arrested at 1500 Ridge Ave. at 4:59 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Dec. 22 at 1:30 p.m.

1120 Ridge

Lauren E. Harshfield, 29, of 14032 S. Tracy Ave., Riverdale, was arrested at 1120 Ridge Ave. at 5:48 p.m. Sunday and charged with a traffic violation.

Central at Lawndale

India S. White, 35, of 7733 S. South Shore Drive, Chicago, was arrested at Central Street and Lawndale Avenue today at 12: 35 a.m. and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Dec. 22 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
