Police received a report of gunshots in the 1600 block of Dodge Avenue, the site of Evanston Township High School, at 2:40 p.m. yesterday, while classes were still in session. This among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Gunshots were reported near Evanston Township High School, in the 1600 block of Dodge Avenue, at 2:40 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but said they found nothing to substantiate the report. They suspected the informant heard the sounds of construction by nearby roofers in the 1800 block of Lake Street.
ETHS Superintendent Eric Witherspoon said, to his knowledge, the report did not originate from any school official. “We have had no reports from anybody here that they even thought that they heard something,” he told Evanston Now today.
Burglary
700 Mulford
A bicycle was stolen out of the garage of a home in the 700 block of Mulford Street between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. yesterday.
Theft
Maple at Garnett
A secured bicycle was stolen from the sidewalk near Maple Avenue and Garnett Place between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday.
An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
