Burglary

1800 Lyons

A handgun and a camera were taken from an unlocked 2015 Toyota in the 1800 block of Lyons Street between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30 a.m. yesterday.

200 Hartrey

Cash and miscellaneous merchandise were stolen from an unlocked 1992 Toyota in the 200 block of Hartrey Avenue between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 8:44 a.m. yesterday.

Battery

607 Lake

Joshua K. Jones, 37, address unknown, was arrested at 607 Lake St. at 6:41 p.m. yesterday and charged with battery. He is due in court on Sept. 14 at 9 a.m.

Shots Heard

800 South Boulevard

Gunshots were reported in the 800 block of South Boulevard at 11:01 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Theft

300 Dodge

A bicycle secured to a bike rack was stolen in the 300 block of Dodge Avenue between 9 a.m. and 11:10 a.m. yesterday.

1400 Elmwood

A secured bicycle on the sidewalk in the 1400 block of Elmwood Avenue was stolen between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. yesterday.

1100 Chicago

Baby food was taken from the Jewel-Osco grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue around 11:30 a.m. yesterday.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of .guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
