Have Dreams, an Evanston group that provides educational and vocational support for autistic children, is seeking volunteers this weekend to help clean up its flooded facilities.

The group’s space at 2020 Dempster St. was flooded by a burst water pipe last month.

While much work has been done already to get back into operation, more cleanup work is still needed.

To help, Volunteer Evanston, Northwestern University and Evanston Township High School are working to organized a weekend of service Saturday and Sunday so Have Dreams can continue to provide educational and vocational training to the over 200 young people it serves.

Volunteers will be working with Have Dreams staff to clean and reorganize furniture as well as cleaning and inventorying educational and vocational games and tools.

Volunteers shifts will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Volunteers can register online.
