Evanston is under a heat advisory issued by the National Weather Service at 3 p.m. this afternoon that’s expected to last until 8 p.m. this evening.

Then we can expect severe thunderstorms that could bring wind gusts of up to 60 miles an hour.

But tomorrow’s forecast calls for much cooler temperatures with a high around 80 degrees.
