The Hilton Orrington hotel in downtown Evanston reportedly is up for sale.

Chicago Real Estate Daily reports the hotel’s owner, Greenfield Partners LLC of South Norwalk, Conn., has hired Los Angeles-based CBRE Inc. to sell the property.

The Hilton Orrington, Evanston’s largest hotel with 269 rooms, was built in 1923 and acquired by Greenfield in 2003.

The hotel, at 1710 Orrington Ave., acquired the Hilton nameplate in 2010 as part of a recapitalization of the property.
