Refuse collections will be delayed next week and Evanston city facilities will be closed over the upcoming Labor Day weekend.

No refuse collections will occur on Monday.

Monday through Thursday trash, recycling and food and yard waste collections will occur one day later in the week than usual.

Friday condo recycling collections will occur on schedule.

The Civic Center will be closed Saturday through Monday. All Evanston Public Library locations will be closed Sunday and Monday.

The Chandler-Newberger Center will be closed Saturday through Monday. The Evanston Ecology Center will be closed Sunday and Monday. The Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, Gibbs-Morrison Cultural Center, Levy Senior Center, Noyes Cultural Arts Center and Robert Crown Center will be closed Monday.

All Evanston public swimming beaches will be open Saturday through Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The Evanston 311 Center will be closed Saturday through Monday.

No street cleaning will occur Monday, so street cleaning parking restrictions will not be in effect. Parking meters/pay boxes and downtown parking garages will be free on Labor Day. In addition, other restricted areas that have signs that prohibit parking except on holidays will be honored.
