Aaron Holzmueller of Evanston established a national record and also turned in a pair of personal best times competing last week at the Adaptive Sports National meet held in Middleton, Wis.

Holzmueller, who will be a junior at Evanston Township High School this fall, set a national age group record in the 1500-meter run with a time of 6 minutes, 4.46 seconds. He also chalked up PRs in the 800 meters (2:56.20) and 400 (1:18.38).

Holzmueller competes in cross country and track for ETHS and was also a state finalist in swimming for the Wildkits. He also competed this summer at the U.S. Paralympic Trials.
