Burglary

1300 Kirk

Someone entered a home through an open door in the 1300 block of Kirk Street at 4 p.m. Wednesday although nothing was taken.

Drugs

1700 Howard

Kenneth J. Williams, 55, of 1921 Dewey Ave., was arrested at 1783 Howard St. at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Theft

2600 Ridge

Someone stole cash and damaged a steering column while attempting to steal a 2014 Subaru in a parking lot in the 2600 block of Ridge Avenue between midnight July 12 and 5:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Traffic

1700 Howard

Alonso D. McDuffy, 22, of 7659 N. Bosworth in Chicago, was arrested for a traffic violation at 7:12 p.m. June 23 and is due in Skokie District Court at 9 a.m. July 30.

Ridge and Lake

Arturo Torres, 47, of 2214 West Farwell Ave. in Chicago, was arrested for a traffic violation at Ridge Avenue and Lake Street at 3:59 p.m. Tuesday and is due in Skokie District Court at 9 a.m. Aug. 31.
