Two women suffered minor injuries as an invader kicked in the rear door of their home in the 700 block of Mulford Street and demanded money from them. This among stories in Monday’s crime bulletin from Evanston police.

HOME INVASION
700 Mulford
An invader kicked in the rear door of a home in the 700 block of Mulford Street around 2 p.m. Thursday and demanded money from the two women–a mother and her daughter–who were drinking coffee inside. When they rejected his demand, the man threatened one woman with knives from their kitchen.The 82-year-old woman suffered a shoulder injury in the fracas and was hospitalized. Her 61-year-old daughter received a welt on her temple when the intruder threw coffee grounds on her. The intruder, described by the women as a white Hispanic in his 30s, fled in a white pickup truck. Police are investigating the incident.

BATTERY
1245 Elmwood
Michael Jacob Bublick, 23, of 305 Redwing Drive, Deerfield, was arrested at 1245 Elmwood Ave. at 7:34 a.m. Tuesday and charged with domestic battery.

BURGLARY
100 Elmwood
A burglar unscrewed the door frame from the opening to the storage area of a residence in the 100 block of Elmwood Avenue between Dec. 1 and 8:35 p.m. Friday and stole a Trek bicycle.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
100 Ashland
Someone scratched the side fender of a 2002 Honda in the 100 block of Ashland Avenue around 8 a.m. Saturday.

GRAFFITI
800 Michigan
Graffiti was discovered on the street in the 800 block of Michigan Avenue at 2:40 p.m. Sunday.

800 Greenleaf
Graffiti was discovered at Nichols Middle School, in the 800 block of Greenleaf Street, at 1 p.m. Thursday.

2000 Jenks
Graffiti was discovered at Torgerson Park, in the 2000 block of Jenks Street, at 9:08 a.m. Friday.

THEFT
800 Davis
An unsecured bicycle was stolen in the 800 block of Davis Street between 3:50 p.m. and 5:17 p.m. Friday.

1600 McDaniel
A 2013 Chevrolet was stolen from the 1600 block of McDaniel Avenue between 8 p.m. Friday and 6:44 a.m. Saturday.

1800 Church
A package delivered to a home in the 1800 block of Church Street was stolen around 2:10 p.m. Saturday.


Howard at Chicago
A purse was snatched from a victim at Howard Street and Chicago Avenue between 4 p.m. Wednesday and 7:33 p.m. Saturday.

TRAFFIC
1720 Isabella
Janis Parisi Luby, 55, of 827 Monticello Place, was arrested at 1720 Isabella St. at 8:41 p.m. Friday and charged with driving under the influence. She is due in court on July 14 at 9 a.m.

618 Hartrey
Dagoberto Lucio, 41, of 1839 W. Warner Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 618 Hartrey Ave. at 7:38 a.m. Saturday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on July 18 at 1:30 p.m.

1500 Oak
Yesenia Salinas, 32, of  10026 28th Ave., Pleasant Prairie, Wis., was arrested at 1500 Oak Ave. at 3:44 p.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on June 29 at 10:30 a.m.

Lemar at Lyons
Star Reann Salter, 30, of 601 Sheridan Road, was arrested at Lemar Avenue and Lyons Street at 8:57 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on June 24 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
