Home prices in Evanston were on the rise last year.

Core Logic Case Shiller data on repeat sales of single family homes shows that prices were up 12.6 percent in north Evanston zip code 60201 to an average price of $549,500 in 2013 compared to 2012.

For south Evanston zip code 60202 the increase was 9.2 percent, to an average price of $377,500.

In 60203, the corner of Skokie served by the Evanston post office, the increase was 11.1 percent to $450.000.

Crain’s Chicago Business has an interactive chart showing the changing values across the entire metro area — which ranged from a high of 16.5 percent in the Mount Greenwood neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago to a low of 2.5 percent in Joliet zip code 60432.
