Homeless man struck on Ridge

A 43-year-old homeless man was struck in the head by two offenders while riding his bike on Ridge Avenue near Lake Street yesterday morning, according to Evanston police.

The victim continued on his bike to the homeless shelter where he was living, shortly after 9 a.m., and discovered he was bleeding.

Paramedics were called and transported him to Evanston Hospital for treatment.

The offenders remain  at large, said Evanston Police Cmdr. Jay Parrott.
