One of Iran’s most prolific documentarians, Kamran Shirdel, will be featured at Northwestern’s Mary and Leigh Block Museum of Art, today.
Four of Shirdel’s short films will be shown and include “The Night it Rained,” “Women’s Quarter,” “Women’s Prison” and “Tehran Is the Capital of Iran.” Films illustrate the dark side of Iran and the struggles of its underprivileged citizens.
The screening will be introduced by Hamid Naficy, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, professor in Communications.
