An iron gate was damaged around 3 p.m. on Feb. 20 at an apartment parking area in the 1900 block of Harrison Street.

Burglary

2100 Ewing

Cash was taken from an unlocked 2017 Chrysler in the 2100 block of Ewing Avenue between 11:30 a.m. Wednesday and 9:30 a.m. yesterday.

Graffiti

900 Davis

Graffiti was discovered at the Davis Street station of the Chicago Transit Authority at 10:56 a.m. yesterday.

Shots Heard

700 Hinman

Gunshots were reported in the 700 block of Hinman Avenue at 10:18 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Theft

1100 Davis

A desktop computer and a purse were taken while unattended at a public building in the 1100 block of Davis Street around 12:30 p.m. yesterday.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
