Isabella Street bridge reopens

The City of Evanston has completed the Isabella Street Bridge Deck Rehabilitation Project and has reopened the bridge to pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

The eight-week project included bridge deck and approach slab rehabilitation, removal and replacement of expansion joints, curb and sidewalk repair as needed, and a latex concrete overlay including installation of new strip seal joint at the abutments.

The $245,870 contract with Rausch Infrastructure LLC of Chicago for the project was approved by the City Council on June 13. Funding for the project came from the city's capital improvement program.
