It’s a ‘novel’ 4th in Evanston

No parade, no fireworks — it’s a a novel coronavirus Fourth of July in Evanston. But some folks decided to put out chairs anyway, even though they’ll likely be watching a virtual parade on a screen indoors.

Others put out “wish we were here” posters of their celebrations from 4ths gone by.

And, on the plus side, you shouldn’t have to fight crowds to visit any Central Street businesses that are open on the holiday.
