The annual Central Street Sidewalk Sale began today and continues through Sunday.
Just about anything — from grilled food to children toys — can be found at the sidewalk sale.
One vendor, Simone Oettinger, the chief fashion officer at the toy store Maya Papaya & Tony Macarony, said she greatly enjoys the sidewalk sale.

"It's my third sidewalk sale. It is a lot busier than an ordinary business day because everyone loves a good deal." she said. Her store was featuring a recyclable play castle for children to play in.
Teresa Manelle of Evanston showed up early at the sale to find the best deals. "I live right nearby, and why not be the first to find the good prices. I've been coming here for years, and I have always found something that I like." she said.

The weather forecast predicts sunny days for sale shoppers through Sunday — but with a warming trend that might make Friday the best shopping day if you are sensitive to the heat.
