KIDNAPPING
1818 Wesley
Dewitt Nelson Brown, 53, of 1930 Jackson Ave. was arrested at 1818 Wesley Ave. at 3:41 p.m. Thursday and charged with kidnapping, vehicular hijacking, battery, and assault. Police said that the victim, a 23-year-old male, discovered the offender in the victim’s car on Wesley and said he was ordered by the offender to drive him to a liquor store in the victim’s car. En route, the vehicle was involved in a collision with a car driven by a 58-year-old female near the intersection of Asbury Avenue and Emerson Street. Brown was taken into custody and ordered to appear in court in Skokie on Wednesday.
ASSAULT
300 Ridge
A 2015 Jeep was shot at while parked in a parking lot in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue around 5:10 p.m. Tuesday.
BATTERY
1454 Elmwood
Myterrion L. Irving, 18, of 2121 Darrow Ave., was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 10:01 a.m. Tuesday and charged with battery.
426 Custer
Omar Ramos-Ibarra, 27, of 426 Custer Ave., was arrested at that address at 2:33 p.m. Thursday and charged with domestic battery.
BURGLARY
2400 Main
A burglar broke a window to gain entry to a 2003 Toyota at a parking lot in the 2400 block of Main Street at 6:16 p.m. Tuesday and stole personal items.
800 Asbury
Cash was taken from an unlocked 2011 Honda in the 800 block of Asbury Avenue at 7:50 a.m. Saturday.
800 Oakton
A burglar entered an unlocked garage in the 800 block of Oakton Street around 2:15 a.m. Friday and stole an electric bicycle.
600 Sherman
Electronics and accessories were stolen from an unlocked 2009 Nissan in the 600 block of Sherman Avenue between 5 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
1100 Garnett
A burglar entered an unlocked residence in the 1100 block of Garnett Place between 1 a.m. and 11 a.m. Tuesday and stole electronics and accessories.

The window of a 2020 Jeep was broken by unknown means between 5:27 p.m. and 6:07 p.m. Tuesday in a parking lot in the 2400 block of Main Street.
800 Washington
Property was damaged at a home in the 800 block of Washington Street between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday.
1500 Sherman
A 2021 Toyota was keyed in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue between 9:05 a.m. and 11:05 a.m. on Nov. 20.
1100 Florence
Christmas decorations were damaged at a home in the 1100 block of Florence Avenue between Nov. 1 and 8 a.m. Tuesday.
2200 Crain
Christmas decorations were damaged at a home in the 2200 block of Crain Street between Nov. 17 and 11:28 p.m. Wednesday.
1200 Pitner
The siding on the garage of a home in the 1200 block of Pitner Avenue was damaged between 2:30 p.m. and 2:52 p.m. Friday.
1600 Foster
A vehicle was egged in the 1600 block of Foster Street between 1 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. Saturday.

Graffiti was discovered on the sidewalk in the 1100 block of Washington Street at 4:41 p.m. Thursday.

Graffiti was discovered on the street in the 900 block of South Boulevard at 9:31 a.m. Thursday.

Graffiti was discovered at the transit station in the 600 block of Main Street at 9:40 a.m. Thursday.

Graffiti was discovered on the street in the 700 block of Ridge Avenue at 10:06 a.m. Thursday.

Brian R. Amado, 37, of 1304 Chicago Ave., was arrested at 1834 Richfield Ave., Highland Park, at 2:48 p.m. Tuesday and charged with harassment via electronic communication.

Gunshots were reported in the 2400 block of Howard Street at 5:40 a.m. Thursday. Police checked the area but found nothing.
400 Ashland
Gunshots were reported in the 400 block of Ashland Avenue at 11:12 p.m. Saturday. Police checked the area but found nothing.
THEFT

Food items were taken from the Jewel-Osco grocery store in the 2400 block of Howard Street around 2:15 p.m. Sunday.
800 Sherman
A gray 2020 Jeep Cherokee was stolen from the 800 block of Sherman Avenue between 8 p.m. on Nov. 22 and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
1000 Grove
A brown 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis was stolen from a parking lot in the 1000 block of Grove Street between 11 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. Wednesday.
1100 Garnett
A white 1989 Chevrolet Malibu was stolen from the driveway of a home in the 1100 block of Garnett Place between 1 a.m. and 11 a.m. Tuesday, using keys that had been taken during a residential burglary.
1900 Dewey
A red 2018 Ford Focus was stolen from the 1900 block of Dewey Avenue around 8:11 a.m. Wednesday, using keys left inside the vehicle.
900 Maple
A cell phone was stolen from a home in the 900 block of Maple Avenue between noon on Sept. 1 and 8 a.m. on Sept. 2.

Guitars were stolen from the Guitar Works store in the 700 block of Main Street between Sept. 30 and noon on Nov. 19.

Someone grabbed the tip jar at the Cross-Rhodes Restaurant in the 900 block of Chicago Avenue at about 5:46 p.m. on Wednesday and fled the store.

Someone grabbed the tip jar at the Cinnaholic Bakery in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and fled the store.

Marcus Julian Battice, 29, of 7715 N. Marshfield Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 607 Howard St. at 8:16 a.m. on Nov. 22 and charged with auto theft and driving under the influence.

Ramiz G. Mirza, 46, of 1416 Howard St., was arrested at that address at 5:38 p.m. on Nov. 22 and charged with theft.

George W. Lytle, 76, of 1418 Pitner Ave., was arrested at 1323 Lake St. at 10:42 a.m. Tuesday and charged with a traffic violation.
717 Hinman
Devon E. Dixon, 33, of 1001 Linda Lane, Des Plaines, was arrested at 717 Hinman Ave. at 11:41 p.m. Tuesday and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
Central at Ridge
Nicolas Agaton Alabazares, 30, of 1118 Grand Ave., Waukegan, was arrested at Central Street and Ridge Avenue at 9:16 a.m. Wednesday and charged with a traffic violation.
