Edward D. Carter, 21, of 731 Dobson St., was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 11:30 a.m. Monday and charged with simple battery. He is due in court on Nov. 15 at 9 a.m.
BURGLARY
1400 Oakton
Jewelry was stolen from a home in the 1400 block of Oakton Street between 6 a.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Sunday.
800 Main
Someone forced entry to a 1997 Chrysler parked in the alley in the 800 block of Main Street between 11 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday and stole a stereo system.
THEFT
1000 Grove
Someone left a cell phone unattended at the McGaw YMCA and it was stolen around 10 p.m. Monday.
1100 Florence
Someone attempted to steal a dog from the yard of a home in the 1100 block of Florence Avenue at 11:04 a.m. Monday.
5600 Clark
Terek J. Rahman, 18, of 5747 N. Bernard, Chicago, and Leyla A. Sada, 18, of 2646 W. Farragut, Chicago, were arrested at 5600 N. Clark St., Chicago, at 3:23 a.m. Monday and charged with retail theft. They are due in court on Dec. 6 at 9 a.m.

1915 Oakton
Grahman David Giarth, 50, of Elmwood Park, was arrested at 1915 Oakton St. at 1:02 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Nov. 22 at 10:30 a.m.
Lake at Ridge
Francisco Daniel Mahecha, 27, of 4848 N. Keeler Ave., Chicago, was arrested at Lake Street and Ridge Avenue at 3:30 p.m. Monday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Nov. 22 at 1:30 p.m.
200 Ridge
Andre Williams, 25, of 7518 N. Winchester, Chicago, was arrested at 200 Ridge Ave. at 2:36 a.m. Monday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Nov. 22 at 9 a.m.
