The workNet Center at the Evanston Public Library host all-day workshops for job seekers focusing on job search techniques, resume/cover letter writing and interviewing techniques.
The workshops will run from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Wednesdays, Aug. 24, and Sept. 21 on the third floor of the Evanston Public Library at 1703 Orrington Ave.

Job Search Techniques: Focuses on effective techniques to find jobs in today’s job market; includes Internet job search tips and networking strategies.
Résumé / Cover Letter: Expert guidance on writing résumés and cover letters that gets results.
Interviewing: Get the guidance and direction needed for interview preparation. Review the common questions and learn effective ways to answer them. Mock interviews will be conducted to practice those new-found skills and reinforce the rest.
As part of the partnership between the Evanston Public Library and the Workforce Board of Northern Cook County, a workNet center was recently opened up on the third floor of the library offering job search and career services to community members.
