The Just Turkey restaurant at 2430 Main St. in Evanston has closed after three years in operation.

Owner Ginger Maddox, in a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page, says that the effort to keep the business operating, while also having another full-time job — she’s a producer at WBBM-TV in Chicago — proved to be too much.

“I cannot give the store what it needs to continue being successful,” Maddox, who grew up in Evanston, says.

  1. I was a fan

I went several times a year. The “Italian Beef” style sandwich and the turkey tips were very good. I did feel on every visit, like they wouldn’t make it to my next visit.

  2. Just Turkey Closed

So sorry to see this alternative to beef business close. I thought their turkey lasagne was the bomb!

    1. Just heard Just Turkey closed
Just heard Just Turkey closed. I’m from Rockford and had to get the turkey lasagna every time I came out to Evanston to visit friends!! Was just in Evanston today and wanted to stop by!
