A 20-year-old Chicago man was confronted by a driver in a blue car who drove up beside him in the 1100 block of Hartrey Avenue at about 9 a.m. Friday and takes his 2021 Kia after implying that he has a weapon.
BATTERY
1400 Chicago
Jason A. Cunningham, 40, of 915 Brown Ave., was arrested at 1400 Chicago Ave. at 11:06 p.m. Sunday and charged with domestic battery.
1011 Brown
Krassimir P. Ganev, 55, of 1011 Brown Ave., was arrested at that address at 9:37 p.m. Wednesday and charged with domestic battery.
640 Pitner
Beverly Jenelle Walker, 24, of 1555 W. Hollywood Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 640 Pitner Ave. at 2:46 p.m. Saturday and charged with domestic battery.
BURGLARY
900 Chicago
Documents were taken from an unlocked 1998 Jeep in a parking lot in the 900 block of Chicago Avenue between 8 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Friday.
1900 Sherman
A wallet and backpack were stolen from an unlocked apartment in the 1900 block of Sherman Avenue around 4:45 p.m. Friday.
1000 Howard
Someone forced their way onto a construction site in the 1000 block of Howard Street between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 6:30 a.m. Sunday and stole building materials.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
900 Elmwood
A window was shattered on a 2008 Honda in the 900 block of Elmwood Avenue between 11 a.m. Tuesday and 12:20 p.m. Friday.
SHOTS HEARD
2100 McDaniel
Gunshots were reported in the 2100 block of McDaniel Avenue at 8:41 p.m. Friday. Police checked the area but found nothing.
THEFT
1800 Main
Clothing items that had been delivered to an apartment common area in the 1800 block of Main Street were stolen between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m. Thursday.
Several lockers in Locker Room 3 at the Robert Crown Community Center in the 1800 block of Main Street were entered and their contents were stolen around 7:40 p.m. Sunday.
1200 Judson
Household goods delivered to an apartment common area in the 1200 block of Judson Avenue were stolen between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday.
600 Judson
A 2006 Toyota Prius was stolen from the 600 block of Judson Avenue between 9 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday.
1600 Howard
A 2015 Toyota Highlander was stolen from the 1600 block of Howard Street around 7:45 p.m. Sunday.
1700 Orrington
An unsecured bicycle parked adjacent to the Evanston Public Library in the 1700 block of Orrington Avenue was stolen between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday.
TRAFFIC
101 Ridge
Samuel Mensah, 28, of 4340 S. Champlain Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 101 Ridge Ave. at 8:38 a.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation.
