The Kiwanis Club of Evanston has honored three Evanston Township High School students as outstanding scholar athletes.

The three athletes, joined by ETHS Athletics Director Chris Livatino, are Dillin Randolph, football and track; Nichelle Campell, girls’ basketball, and Garrett Jones, boys’ basketball.

The students received the Ted Van Zelst award, named for the late Evanston businessman and long time Kiwanis member.

The students were honored at a luncheon meeting of the club and told the members of their future plans, academic and civic achievements and athletic highlights. The club has honored over 50 students during the past few years and also presents two $1000 academic scholarships to ETHS students annually.

  1. Positive Role Models

Congratulations to the recipients of this honor!  They and their families should be very proud of their accomplishment.  Let’s all keep in mind that this distinction was earned over many years through long days putting in extra effort both in the classroom and on their respective fields of play.  These young men and woman represent the school and community well, and are positive role models for Evanston students at all levels.
