More than 100 artists will be exhibiting their wares at the 42d annual Evanston Lakeshore Arts Festival this weekend at Centennial Park.
The juried fine arts and crafts event will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday at the park, located on Sheridan Road at Clark Street. There is no admission fee.
Free parking will be available in the Northwestern University parking lot just north of the event, with a free shuttle bus running between the lot and the festival.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the artists on site and purchase work in a wide range of media – photography, jewelry, painting, wood, ceramics, glass, prints/drawings, sculpture, fiber, watercolor, and mixed media.
In addition to the art, a number of musical groups will be performing in various genre, including jazz, bluegrass, blues, folk, and rock. Also, special events are planned for children.
