A laptop computer was stolen when someone broke the window of a car on Greenleaf and a purse was taken from an unlocked car on Dobson. These are among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Burglary

800 Forest

Someone cut a window screen for an apartment in the 800 block of Forest Avenue between 8:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Thursday but nothing was taken.

100 Greenleaf

Someone broke the passenger side window of a 2007 BMW parked on the street in the 100 block of Greenleaf Street between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday and took a bag containing a laptop computer.

1100 Dobson

Someone stole a purse and its contents from an unlocked Toyota parked on the street in the 1100 block of Dobson Street between 4 and 5 p.m. Thursday.

Theft

1000 Grove

An unsecured bicycle was stolen from a bike rack in the 1000 block of Grove Street between 3:30 and 5:15 p.m. Thursday.

900 Church

Someone stole clothes from a store in the 900 block of Church Street between 3:05 and 3:09 p.m. Thursday.

100 Asbury

Marsha J. Tucker, 47, 6343 N. Oakley Ave., Apt. 2E, in Chicago, was arrested at 101 Asbury Ave. at 1:14 p.m. Thursday, charged with retail theft and is due to appear in Skokie District Court at 9 a.m. Sept. 5.

Traffic

Greenwood and Fowler

Clarence Cavines, 42, 6330 Magnolia Ave. in Chicago, was arrested for a traffic violation at Greenwood Street and Fowler Avenue at 11:14 a.m. Thursday and is due to appear in Skokie District Court at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 24.
