Burglary

2100 McDaniel

A bicycle was stolen from an unlocked garage of a home in the 2100 block of McDaniel Avenue between 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

 300 Ridge

Someone attempted to pry the door open to an apartment in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. yesterday.

Theft

300 Dewey

A laptop computer was stolen from a home in the 300 block of Dewey Avenue between 10 a.m. on May 24 and 7:30 p.m. the following day.

1600 Chicago

Someone stole a cell phone from a retail establishment in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue around 7:13 p.m. yesterday.

300 Ridge

A cell phone that had been delivered to an apartment common area in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue was stolen yesterday between 2:50 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.

2485 Howard

Aaron K. Dudley, 33, of 5949 S. Loomis Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 2485 Howard St. at 4 p.m. Tuesday and charged with retail theft.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
