Burglary

100 Elmwood

A laptop computer, office equipment, and food were taken in an apartment burglary between 8:40 a.m. and 11 p.m. yesterday in the 100 block of Elmwood Avenue.

Battery

517 Chicago

Ravin M. Rice, 29, of 703 Oakton St., was arrested at 517 Chicago Ave. at 10 p.m. yesterday and charged with battery. A court date has been scheduled for Jan. 22 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
