An Apple laptop computer was taken from an unlocked Volkswagen in the Trader Joe’s parking lot in the 1200 block of Chicago Avenue. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.


1200 Chicago

An Apple laptop computer was among items stolen from an unlocked 2012 Volkwagen in the Trader Joe’s parking lot in the 1200 block of Chicago Avenue around 4 a.m. yesterday.

2700 Bernard

Cash was taken from an unlocked 2010 Honda in the driveway of a home in the 2700 block of Bernard Place between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. yesterday.


Dodge at Dempster

Eric S. Boose, 49, of 1962 E. 71st St., Chicago, was arrested at Dodge Avenue and Dempster Street at 4:46 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on March 26 at 10:30 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
