Burglary

1700 Chancellor

A laptop computer was taken by a burglar from an unlocked home in the 1700 block of Chancellor Street, just north of Central Street, between 12:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. yesterday.

2200 Sherman

Bicycles were taken from an apartment storage area in the 2200 block of Sherman Avenue between 10 a.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. yesterday.

Criminal Damage

2600 Sheridan

Two windows were broken in a public building in the 2600 block of Sheridan Road between 8:50 p.m. Friday and 7:45 a.m. yesterday.

Traffic

1200 Chicago

Jaime L. Arias, 38, of 4520 N. Sawyer Ave., was arrested at 1200 Chicago Ave. at 10:55 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation.

1714 Dempster

Antonio K. Dent, 28, of 231 Ridge Ave., was arrested at 1714 Dempster St. at 8:07 p.m. yesterday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on June 27 at 10:30 a.m.

Wesley at Foster

Gonzaga Henry Kasule, 49, of 1173 Fairwood Drive, Elgin, was arrested at Wesley Avenue and Foster Street at 11:27 p.m. yesterday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on May 17 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
