Leave a little more time for your commute

Motorists ran into some delays this morning with construction work finally underway on the Green Bay Road, Ridge Avenue and Emerson Street renovation project in Evanston.

The project involves installing new water mains and storm sewers modernizing traffic signals and reconfiguring the traffic lanes along Green Bay.

The roads are expected to remain open during the project, but with lane reductions.

The $11 million project is expected to take until November to complete and has been in the planning process for more than two years.
