The Levy Senior Center will be closed from Monday, Dec.16, through Sunday, Dec. 22 for maintenance.

There will be no programs, classes or events that week due to refinishing of the wood floor and painting, the city has announced.

The office at the center, 300 Dodge Ave., will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for customers who wish to purchase taxi coupons, register for programs, or pay their wheel tax. Other areas of the facility will be closed to the public due to odors from the floor refinishing and painting.

Levy Center fitness room members will be able to use the fitness room at Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, 1655 Foster St., during this time. The Levy Center’s lunch program will also move to Fleetwood-Jourdain that week.

The Levy Center bus will pick up participating seniors to take them to lunch and back home.
