The North Branch of the Evanston Public Library is getting a fresh coat of paint — and will close for the work from Wednesday, Nov, 21, at 6 p.m,, until the morning of Saturday, Dec. 1 at 10 a.m.

During this time:

  • The Central Street book drop will remain in use, and materials may be returned there.
  • North Branch materials may also be returned to the Main Library, 1703 Orrington Ave., or to the Wilmette Public Library, 1242 Wilmette Ave.
  • Any items marked as due during the closing period will not accumulate overdue fines until Dec. 1.
  • Any holds set to be picked up at North Branch will be held at the Main Library, 1703 Orrington Ave.
  • The North Branch book group will still be able to meet at the North Branch on Thursday, Nov. 29 at 7 p.m.
