The Evanston Public Library invites submissions to the 33rd annual Jo-Anne Hirshfield Memorial Poetry Awards.

The competition is open to all adult and high school age Chicago area poets.  There are also elementary and middle school student categories open to Evanston school students.

The competition deadline is Friday, March 25. Judging this year is by Janet Wong.

The awards will be presented on Sunday, May 1, at 2 p.m. when the competition winners will read their poems.
