License plates were removed from a 1997 Ford in the 1800 block of Grey Avenue between 8:30 a.m. and 11:40 a.m. yesterday.

1600 Chicago

Stereo equipment was taken from a store in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue between 6:45 p.m. and 6:49 p.m. yesterday.

Battery

Jackson at Emerson

Tyshawnna L. Johnson, 26, of 2002 Jackson Ave., was arrested at Jackson Avenue and Emerson Street at 9:40 p.m. yesterday and charged with domestic battery.

Shots Heard

100 Callan

Gunshots were reported in the 100 block of Callan Avenue around 1:52 a.m. today. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Traffic

1738 Chicago

Elvin Esduardo Coyoy Hernandez, 24, of 4710 N. Sawyer Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1738 Chicago Ave. at 3:22 p.m. Tuesday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on June 3 at 10:30 a.m.

555 Lincoln

Lorenzo Lopez, 39, of 5220 S. Fairfield Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 555 Lincoln St. at 2:09 a.m. today and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on June 4 at 9 a.m.

An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
