Some light snow is expected early Wednesday morning — but probably won't total more than a half inch, according to forecasts being relied upon by Evanston's Public Works Department.
That's on the low end of the range forecast by the National Weather Service, which says we could get an inch or so of snow by mid-day Wednesday.
Temperatures are expected to rise to a high a few degrees above freezing during the day Wednesday, before falling into the 20s Wednesday night.
Assistant Public Works Director James Maiworm says Evanston public works crews are on standby, prepared to begin operations as soon as conditions require. They've already ant-iced main roads across the city ahead of the storm.
