The board of the Evanston Chamber of Commerce has named Linda Larken as the group’s executive director.

Larkin had been serving as interim executive director following the resignation of Elaine Kemna-Irish.

An eight-member search committee conducted the search to fill the position.

Larkin has been a chamber member for 12 years and previously worked as a volunteer ambassador for the group.

Larkin said, ” I look forward to working closely with our members to bring positive change to the Chamber. Success begins with listening –  we will position the Chamber to listen first to the needs of our members and then advocate for our business community.”
