P1 – Extension of time for test of pro sports events at Welch-Ryan Arena

(There was a significant delay to sort out technical issues with an echo in the meeting audio during discussion of this item.)

Approved for introduction 4-3.

P2 – Tree preservation ordinance amendment

Alderman Judy Fiske, 1st Ward, says city has a lot of huge old heritage trees that “are under threat.”

After some discussion committee votes 6-1 to table the issue until Sept. 27, but have a staff progress report at the second meeting in July. (Fiske voted no, wanted to advance it to City Council.
