Alderman Cheryl Wollin, 1st Ward, has nominated Peter Lobin, president of Evanston-based Solid Waste Solutions Corp., to serve on the Northwestern University/City Committee.

Mr. Lobin, a long-time Evanston resident, lives at 2030 Orrington Ave.

He would replace Robert Atkins, whose term is ending as a result of the City Council’s decision last month to impose term limits on its appointees to the committee.

Ald. Wollin says that since the next NU/City Committee meeting is scheduled for June 22, she will ask the council to suspend its rules at its meeting Monday to both introduce and give final approval to Mr. Lobin’s appointment.
