A 28-year-old Evanston man told officers he was robbed at gunpoint of his wallet, cash, and cell phone after he boarded a Lyft vehicle in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue yesterday afternoon. This among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Robbery

300 Ridge

A 28-year-old Evanston man told police a passenger in a Lyft ride-sharing vehicle pointed a handgun at his head after he had boarded the summoned vehicle and demanded that he hand over his wallet, cash, and cell phone. The incident occurred between 2 p.m. and 2:39 p.m. yesterday in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue, according to police spokesman Cmdr. Ryan Glew, who said the matter is under investigation.

Burglary

600 Callan

Tools were taken from a 2008 Chevrolet in the driveway of a home in the 600 block of Callan Avenue between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Drugs

1950 Green Bay

Finnis M. Bowie, 21, of 2114 Darrow Ave., was arrested at 1950 Green Bay Road at 10:33 a.m. yesterday and charged with possession of cannabis. He is due in court on Jan.23 at 9 a.m.

Other

2400 Main

Miguel Suarez Cornejo, 46, of 12910 Seneca Road, Palos Heights, was arrested at 2400 Main St. at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday and charged with a firearms owner’s identification card violation. He is due in court on Jan. 23 at 10:30 a.m.

Elmwood at Howard

Police responded to a call of a man with a gun seen in the vicinity of Elmwood Avenue and Howard Street at 9:38 a.m. yesterday. They checked the area but found no man with a gun.

Theft                

2300 Ashland

Miscellaneous merchandise was taken from the yard of a home in the 2300 block of Ashland Avenue around 11 a.m. Monday.

Traffic

7644 Sheridan

Alison D. Woolley, 59, of 1418 Lake Ave., Wilmette, was arrested at 7644 N. Sheridan Road, Chicago, at 12:56 p.m. Wednesday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Jan. 17 at 1:30 p.m.
