A 19-year-old Chicago man has been charged with robbing an Evanston man in the 800 block of Brown Avenue early this morning.
Antoine Walker of the 6200 block of N. Claremont is due in court Saturday for a bond hearing.
Police say Walker and an accomplice approached the 22-year-old Evanston man about 1 a.m. as the man walked west on Main Street from Dodge Avenue.

Police say Walker and an accomplice approached the 22-year-old Evanston man about 1 a.m. as the man walked west on Main Street from Dodge Avenue.
The police say Walker placed his hand under his waistband to suggest he had a weapon while the unnamed accomplice snatched money from the victim’s hand as he removed it from his wallet.
Officers spotted Walker not far from the scene and detained him while other officers continued their so-far-unsuccessful search for the accomplice. Police say the victim identified Walker as one of the men who robbed him.
